About Chiropractic Care
What do you treat?
Is it just adjustments?
No. Depending on your exam, care can include adjustments, manual therapy, rehab-style exercise, massage, or dry needling. See what chiropractic care includes.
Does a chiropractic adjustment hurt?
Most people find adjustments comfortable. Some feel mild soreness for a day or so, similar to after a new workout. We adjust technique to your comfort, including gentler options.
What is the popping sound?
It is gas releasing from the joint when it moves, much like cracking a knuckle. It is not bones grinding, and it does not need to happen for an adjustment to help.
How many visits will I need?
It depends on your exam, how long you have had the problem, and how you respond. We reassess as you go and adjust your care, and the aim is to get you managing well on your own.
Is dry needling the same as acupuncture?
No. Dry needling targets trigger points in muscles and is used as part of chiropractic care. It is not acupuncture. Dr. Joshua Baird and Dr. Mary Momper both perform dry needling. More about dry needling.
Your First Visit
Do I need a referral?
No referral is needed. Call (636) 856-1260 or request an appointment online.
What happens at the first visit?
We talk through your history, do a focused exam, explain what we found, and start hands-on care in that same visit. Read the full first-visit guide.
How long is a visit?
Your first visit takes about 45 minutes and includes your history, a full exam, and your first treatment. Download and fill out the new patient forms (typed or printed) and bring them to your first visit, or arrive 10 minutes early to fill them out at the office. Follow-up visits are shorter.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothes you can move in, like athletic wear.
Can I fill out forms ahead of time?
Yes. Download the new patient forms (PDF), fill them out (typed or printed), and bring them to your first visit. Nothing is submitted through this website. You can also arrive 10 minutes early to fill them out at the office. More about new patient forms.

Are you part of Back Pain Center O’Fallon?
We began as a satellite office of Back Pain Center O’Fallon. In 2025, Dr. Joshua Baird bought the Wentzville clinic and is now its sole owner and operator, so today we are a separate, independently owned practice, and we still think highly of our friends in O’Fallon.
Does the online form book my appointment?
No. The form sends a request to our office, and our front desk will contact you to confirm a time.
